EMSCAN will present a paper at the first Austrian NFC-conference in Seibersdorf, Austria
Seibersdorf, Austria – March 14, 2016: EMSCAN will present a paper at the first Austrian NFC-conference at Seibersdorf Laboratories in Seibersdorf, Austria on April 14, 2016.
Considering the size, frequency and distance, antenna radiation pattern is not a meaningful parameter for NFC designers. Amplitude and distribution of the signal are important. EMSCAN will first introduce very-near-field magnetic measurement techniques and will then demonstrate how the EMxpert, an instrument built around a patented array of very-nearfield magnetic probes is a fast and effective tool that measure and displays the emissions from an NFC antenna.
The peak hold mode of the EMxpert can create a full image of the antenna’s emission in seconds even with a bursty NFC signal at both the spectral and spatial levels. These results would allow a designer or tester to verify that the antenna is operating as expected.
EMSCAN will also introduce its current research program designed to further enhance its NFC testing.
Stéphane Attal, CEO of EMSCAN has driven EMSCAN to 6 years of unrelenting growth. Prior to EMSCAN, Mr. Attal was founder and CEO of three high-tech companies, two of which were sold, including Navtel Communications, a worldwide developer and manufacturer of telecommunications test equipment. Prior to Navtel, he held numerous senior operating roles at an European-based global telecommunications equipment company including general manager and vice president global sales; he also led an MBO and VC financing, resulting in the spin-off of Navtel. Mr. Attal has an MBA (University of Texas at Austin) and a MSc. from the French engineering school Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers.
