The Senior Software Manager is responsible for the overall software development for the EMSCAN products. Implementation of a scalable and easily maintainable software architecture is critical to the success of this job. Software Manager must be hands on to code and lead a small team of software designers.
Create software design specification documents from new product requirements or existing product releases.
Design EMSCAN products’ software architecture that are scalable and easily maintainable.
Create testing procedures and participate in testing process through unit testing and bug fixes.
Writes software code.
Supervise and control software project progress within software development team.
To provide assistance & guidance to team members.
Assist in customer support if required from marketing, sales or customer support.
Prepare software release plan and release notes.
Control compatibility of different version of product.
Perform version control on existing product.
Report to management about scope, schedule and status of major software development project.
Communicate with R&D team regarding to system’s software functional requirement.
Research on new technology and platforms, third party software to improve EMSCAN’s system quality and capability.
Degree in computer science or software engineering and related discipline
Knowledge in Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodology and techniques
At least 8+ years of hands on experience on software development using visual C++, C# .NET on Windows platform
Experience in 2D and 3D GUI development in Windows software application environment
Knowledge and experience in multi-threading windows application
Experience in hardware driver development on Windows platform
Familiar with software development process life cycle and practices
Experience in software requirement collection, software architecture analysis and design.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks when facing a tight deadline
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment

“I’m an electronics technician with 30 plus years in the automotive electronics field. We could not afford to spend a lot of time and money at the end of the development cycle trying to fix EMC failures, especially at the expensive certified EMC labs that we used for final compliance testing. Our in house EMC lab was used for pre-compliance testing, we were not certified. For susceptibility testing we did: strip line, TEM cell, tri-plate and bulk current injection.
