Job Function

Hardware Engineer will be responsible for hardware subsystem design and development. In this role, you will develop a thorough understanding of functional and design requirements of the sub-system. You will create detailed hardware design specification followed by schematic capture and PCB layout. Your goal would be to deliver a fully functional prototype with in specified project cost and schedule. You will also ensure your project adheres to hardware development processes and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create sub-system functional and design specification document
  • Create schematic for the sub-system
  • Hold design review with peers and the DFM team
  • Conduct PCB layout under the guidance of a senior engineer
  • Create Hardware test plans
  • Work with NPI team to build protos
  • Perform hardware verification testing
  • Support designs for component obsolescence and the cost reduction
  • Report project status to management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical (Electronics major) Engineering with 2+ year experience.
  • Knowledge about high speed digital design principle is highly valuable.
  • Working experience with Altium design tool desirable.
  • Experience with lab equipment required for testing and debugging digital systems
